Two charged in connection with alleged prostitution incident at Oswego massage parlor

The owner of an Oswego massage parlor, along with one of its employees, have been charged in connection with an alleged prostitution incident.

At 4:10 p.m. Jan. 29, Hongbing Liu, 60, of Chicago, was picked up at X Massage, 2733 Route 34, after the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team conducted an investigation into alleged prostitution, according to a news release from the Oswego Police Department.

Liu, an employee at X Massage, was charged with prostitution, the release said. She was released and given a notice to appear in court on Feb. 19.

At 2:32 p.m. on Jan. 30, Oswego Police arrested Massage X owner Haibin Li, 35, of Plainfield, on a charge of violating the massage therapy practice act, the release said.

Li was released and given a notice to appear in court on Feb. 20. The business’s bodyworks license will be suspended at midnight Friday, pending a hearing with the bodyworks commissioner, according to the release.
