The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County are hosting a series of candidate forums for the April 1 consolidated election in contested races for Batavia, St. Charles and Geneva mayor and city council.

Voters in the Campton Township Cemetery District will have a referendum April 1 asking for a rate increase officials say is necessary to keep up the maintenance of its four cemeteries.

Fox River and Countryside Fire Rescue District election officials removed a candidate from the April 1 consolidated election ballot because he did not staple his nominating papers together as required by state law.
