On Feb. 1, the Crystal Lake Lions Club held its 25th Winter Steak Fry fundraiser at the Holiday Inn.
The support we received from almost 750 local guests almost exceeded capacity of the three ballrooms adorned with banners of support from partnering businesses. The cold night air was filled with the aroma of guests grilling their own steaks outside the venue and returning to an enormous salad, baked potato and dessert bar. The nearly 80 tables of guests then shared in hours of fun games, raffles and auctions. The night concluded with dancing and singing to live entertainment, a 70s disco band to celebrate the success of the evening.
The Crystal Lake Lions would like to thank all the supporting local businesses that offered raffle prizes and paid endorsements for our largest fundraiser of the year. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of guests that once again attended our annual event. Their continued support to raise funds allows the Crystal Lake Lions Club to continue to serve the needs of individuals and nonprofit organizations we serve in our community. On behalf of the Lions Club members, their families and all of our outstanding volunteers, we look forward to seeing you at next years’ event, the 26th Winter Steak Fry to be held on Jan. 31, 2026.
We are grateful for the continued support,
Rob Parrish
