Police on Thursday arrested a Woodstock man accused of using a large knife to attack another man, who was injured during the altercation.
Joshua A. Brown is charged with aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, reckless conduct and aggravated assault in connection with the Oct. 29 allegations. He remained at the McHenry County Jail Monday on a $47,500 bond.
Brown is accused of swinging and “thrusting” a large knife at another man during an argument in the 700 block of Prairie View Lane in Woodstock, according to a criminal complaint. A struggle over the knife ensued, at which point Brown pulled the weapon out of the other person’s hands causing “severe lacerations” to both of the other man’s palms, court records show.
The man declined medical attention, Woodstock Deputy Police Chief Ray Lanz said.
A warrant was issued for Brown’s arrest on Nov. 3 and he was arrested the following day, according to court documents.
Brown is scheduled to make a court appearance Tuesday morning with an attorney from the McHenry County Public Defender’s Office.
