Marengo wins 3rd straight KRC title, Huntley earns 4th straight FVC championship

Marengo 54, Woodstock North 41: At Marengo, Gabby Gieseke scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half as the Indians beat the Thunder to earn at least a share of the Kishwaukee River Conference title. Maggie Hanson chipped in nine points for Marengo (17-12, 12-1), which hosts Sandwich Wednesday in its last KRC game of the season.

The Indians' KRC title is their third in a row. Marengo is 35-2 in the KRC since the start of 2022-23.

Addie Udelhofen and Abby Ward scored nine points each to lead North (6-19, 3-10).

Huntley 72, McHenry 6: At Huntley, the Red Raiders rolled to their 29th victory and clinched at least a share of the Fox Valley Conference championship with two games remaining.

Huntley has won four straight conference titles and is 68-2 in the FVC since the start of 2021-22.

Paula Strzelecki led undefeated Huntley (29-0, 16-0) with 16 points and Isabella Boskey had a career-high 14. Madison Diaz had nine points and Ava McFadden had eight points and two 3s. Anna Campanelli and Luca Garlin had six points apiece.

Crystal Lake South 44, Hampshire 39 (OT): At Hampshire, Laken LePage scored 21 points and added seven steals as the Gators snapped a three-game losing streak with a Fox Valley Conference win against the Whip-Purs.

Gaby Dzik scored 17 points and Tessa Melhuish chipped in 11 for South (14-14, 8-8 FVC). Mikala Amegasse scored 15 points to lead Hampshire (13-15, 9-7).

North Boone 44, Harvard 31: At Harvard, the Hornets dropped the nonconference contest to the Vikings on senior night. Summer Jones led the way for Harvard (15-15) with nine points.

Johnsburg 52, Richmond-Burton 27: At Johnsburg, Summer Toussaint scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Skyhawks won their KRC game against the Rockets. Skye Toussaint added 13 points for Johnsburg (19-11, 9-4).

Crystal Lake Central 63, Jacobs 37: At Algonquin, Ruby Macke scored a game-high 23 points as the Tigers won the FVC game against the Golden Eagles. Hadley Ferrero added 20 points and Leah Spychala tossed in 17 for Central (19-8, 11-5).

Prairie Ridge 47, Dundee-Crown 22: At Crystal Lake, Zoe Nanos scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Wolves to the FVC win. Maia Cassin added 11 points for Prairie Ridge (12-14, 8-8). Reese Westland had five points for D-C (

Genoa-Kingston 53, Woodstock 30: At Woodstock, the Blue Streaks (13-15) fell to the Cogs in a nonconference contest.
