“Our senior citizens are incredibly important, and we’re kicking off this event with the hope of strong support from constituents across the district to help put a smile on the faces of our senior citizens this Valentine’s Day,” Arellano said in a news release.

Arellano invites students, Scout troops, churches and other organizations to participate by purchasing or designing cards that then will be delivered by him and his team to nursing homes, assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout the district.

Cards can be dropped off or mailed to Arellano’s District Office at 86 S. Galena Ave., Suite 2, Dixon, IL 61021. If delivering in person, call Nancy Naylor at 779-251-5003.
