Tails Humane Society new bath station provided by the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

DeKALB - Tails Humane Society in DeKalb was recently outfitted with a new bath station for animals in its care, following a donation by the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

According to a news release, the amimal shelter applied for a Fall Community Needs Grant in November. The grant, which was for $2,580, was used awarded and used to purchase a new bath station for Tails.

The DeKalb County Community Foundation Community Needs Grant is a grants program that supports the charitable needs and efforts of nonprofit and public sector organizations located throughout DeKalb County.

The Tails Humane Society is a managed admission animal shelter that provides a safe haven for over 3,400 animals every year. Tails Humane Society’s mission is to build a compassionate community through the care of compassion of animals through adoption and rescue and providing services and programs to the community.
