High school sports roundup for Monday, Jan. 6

Nate Archambeau scored 13 points to lead Woodstock to a 61-40 nonconference win over North Boone on Monday at Woodstock.

Archambeau made five field goals, including one 3-pointer. Nick Weber scored 12 points for the Blue Streaks (2-13). Javi Garay scored 10 points, and Ryan Steponaitis added eight.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Stillman Valley 53, Marengo 40: At Stillman Valley, Marengo's Jennifer Heinberg scored 14 points, all in the second half, of a nonconference loss. Kierra Morris scored eight points. Gracie Gentleman and Lilly Johnson each added seven points for the Indians (9-7).

GIRLS BOWLING

Huntley 2,747, McHenry 2,263: At Raymond's Bowl in Johnsburg, Rachel Pepke bowled a team-high 563 series with a 192 high game in Huntley's win over McHenry.

Huntley’s Gen Porsche rolled a 463 series, Lindsay Spring bowled a 461, Abby Matula had a 445, Cassie Lugo had a 419 and Jen Spielman added a 396.

For McHenry, Brianna May led the way with a 463 series. Peyton Atwater bowled a 410, Madison Wise added a 377, Olivia Greenwald had a 364 and Shelby Huffington contributed a 347.

BOYS BOWLING

Belvidere North 3,444, Woodstock 3,028: At Kingston Lanes in Woodstock, Woodstock's Austin Arndt rolled a 633 series for the Blue Streaks in a loss. He bowled a high game of 230. Brendan Matthes bowled a 513 series, and Brady Caldwell had a 489.
