Holiday season kicks off in Ottawa with Festival of Lights Parade

Ottawa’s annual Festival of Lights Parade returns to the city’s downtown at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28.

Signaling the official start of the Christmas season, this spectacle transforms the city streets with dazzling, illuminated floats, marching bands and more.

This beloved community event culminates with the much-awaited arrival of Santa Claus and the grand lighting of the city’s Christmas tree.
