5 Things to Do: Magic and Mischief Show, Seapeak Style’s Grand Opening and more in Kane County

Here are five things to do in Kane County:

1. Cozy Fest Weekend: From Friday, Feb. 7, through Sunday, Feb. 9, Cozy Fest Weekend will take place at Sturdy Shelter Brewing, located at 10 Shumway Ave. in Batavia. During the event, participants are invited to wear comfy clothes and enjoy food, sweets and beer. Attendees can play games, read a book, mingle and more. There will be yoga on Sunday. 2. Bear-y in Love: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, there will be a Bear-y in Love painting event at Pinot’s Palette, located at 3823 E. Main St. in St. Charles. Attendees will create a gummy bear painting using only four colors. This is a no-experience required art class, and trained, local artists will be on-site to lead the class. 3. Club Arcada: Magic and Mischief - Lunch and Show: From noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, a Magic and Mischief Show will take place at Club Arcada, located at 105 E. Main St. in St. Charles. The event will feature magic from Mike DiDomenico, as well as fire eating, exotic animals and cutting-edge illusions. Lunch will take place from noon to 1 p.m. It includes rigatoni pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, chicken parmesan, chopped Sunday salad, bread, red velvet cake, soft drinks and coffee. DiDomenico will perform table magic from 12:30 to 1 p.m. From 1 to 2:30 p.m., a stage magic performance will take place. Tickets are $45 a person. Gratuity is included. 4. Hoppy Hearts Brew and Browse Valentine’s Market: From 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, a special Valentine’s Market will take place at Pollyanna Brewing Company, located at 106 S. Riverside Ave. in St. Charles. The event will feature a diverse beer menu and a wide range of distilled cocktails and spirits. Dark Horse Grill and Catering will have an indoor pop-up at the event and 13 local vendors will be on-site selling handcrafted goods. Entry is free. 5. Seapeak Style’s Grand Opening: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, there will be a grand opening party for Seapeak Style’s new location, located at 222 E. Wilson St. in Batavia. There will be exclusive shopping, fun activities, giveaways and more. Attendees are encouraged to dress in pink and orange. The first 15 customers to spend $75 or more will receive a gift bag with Seapeak items and a T-shirt. Customers who spend $45 or more will receive a Seapeak T-shirt, while supplies last.
