5 Things to Do in Will County: Take your Child to the Library Day

The Joliet Public Library at 150 N. Ottawa St. in Joliet is hosting an all-ages, interactive Exoplanet exhibit from NASA through Feb. 28. Pictured are Marlon Needon, Merda Ramirez, Miranda Espina and Cameron West.

1. Winter Fest 2025: 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Joliet Park District, Kathy Green Multi-Purpose Center, 3000 W Jefferson St., Joliet. Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue pet adoption event, children’s ID services, bounce houses, crafts, games, gymnastics obstacle course, raffles and a food/coffee truck. 2. Take your Child to the Library Day!: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Joliet Public Library, 150 N. Ottawa St. in Joliet and 3395 Black Road in Joliet. Licensed therapy dogs to listen to books at Black Road from 10:30-11:30 am and Ottawa Street from 1-2 pm, Playaway Launchpad “petting zoo” to try out launchpads and educational games, comic making station, coloring sheets in our graphic novels area, Exoplanet exhibit, scavenger hunt, bookmark making and read station. 4. 46th Annual Frosty 5 Mile 2025: 9 a.m., Feb. 8, Pioneer Path School, 24920 Sage Street, Channahon. Runners of all ages are welcome to participate. The first 200 runners to register will receive an official Frosty 5 Mile stocking cap and a finisher’s medal. Pretzels and award ceremony will follow the race. Registration is available online or in-person at Arrowhead Community Center until Feb. 1. Prices will increase if spots are still available after Feb. 1.
