Bolingbrook has advanced to seven straight sectional tournaments, but is still seeking its first ever state championship.

No. 3 Coal City knocked off the two teams ranked ahead of it – flipping the script in the Class 1A final to beat No. 1 Vandalia – to win the program's second state title in three seasons. Meanwhile, Joliet Catholic placed third in Class 3A for its third trophy in four seasons.

Plainfield Central’s Alicia Tucker and Lockport’s Claudia Heeney each claimed championships at Saturday's IHSA Girls Wrestling State Finals on Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
