The Joliet agency apoloigizes for any inconvenience

The nonprofit Catholic Charities of Joliet is focused on cutting costs as the state budget impasse continues.

Catholic Charities Early Childhood Service Division was to host its 2022 Job and Resource Fair on Wednesday.

But the Joliet agency canceled it Wednesday morning due to the area’s rise in COVID-19 cases. The job and resource fair has been re-scheduled for April 13, said Maggie Snow, public relations and communications coordinator for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet.

Snow said Catholic Charities apologizes for any inconvenience.

“Safety and health are most important,” Snow said Wednesday morning in a text message.

The fair was to be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at Harrah’s in Joliet, 151 N. Chicago St. in Joliet. A resume building workshop was one of the features.
