Lockport welcomes its 1st hotel

Lockport welcomed its first hotel this week with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

The new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lockport is located off Interstate 355 at 159th Street, its website said.

The hotel features complimentary parking, free Wi-Fi and 81 guest rooms and suites. Guest room amenities include miniature refrigerators, microwaves, flat screen TVs, USB ports, outlets that are easy to access, workstations and blackout window shades, according to the website and a news release from Janko Hospitality, which manages the hotel.

Suites are larger than the guest rooms and include pull-out sofa sleepers.

Other hotel features include an indoor heated pool, a 24-hour fitness facility with cardio equipment and free weights, business and meeting centers (reservations required for meeting centers; business center is complimentary), grab-and-go breakfast and hot breakfast options, a 24-hour coffee station and lobby market, the website and release said.

The hotel is pet friendly and welcomes “furry friends,” the release said.

In addition, the hotel is regularly deep-cleaned with hospital grade disinfectants. Social distancing and face masks are required in all public spaces.
