Gov. JB Pritzker appointed a member of the Will County Center for Economic Development to a state board.
Doug Pryor, who serves as the vice president of economic development at the CED, will serve on the Enterprise Zone Board, subject to confirmation by the Illinois Senate, Pritzker’s office announced last week.
At the CED, he successfully helped deliver more than $4 billion of investment in projects from diverse sectors including energy, manufacturing, health care and retail, according to Pritzker’s office.
Previously, he served as the county administrator in Grundy County for two years and worked for the Grundy Economic Development Council.
Since 2012, Pryor has taught courses in economics and statistics at Dominican University in River Forest. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Dominican University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
