Bolingbrook police responded to noise complaints at two different parties on Jan. 31.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew J. Baumgartner, 27, of Wisconsin, for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and aggravated battery to a police officer after he headbutted an officer early Sunday morning.

Crews were called out at about 4:23 a.m. to reports of a structure fire in the 2000 block of Addleman Street in Joliet, the Joliet Fire Department said.

Theft

For six hours, Joliet firefighters were at the scene of a commercial building fire on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Washington Street on Thursday.

The front of the Jeep in Joliet was struck by Chrysler, causing both vehicles to spin, police said. The Jeep then struck a city light pole, knocking it into the roadway.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Plainfield Fire Protection District and MABAS Division 15 fire investigators.

A teen driver from Addison suffered life-threatening injuries in a Joliet crash. Police are seeking videos from the public.
