All railroad crossings reopened Friday afternoon after a train collided with a vehicle at the Main Street rail crossing in Plainfield at the Canadian National grade, Plainfield police said.

The following crossings were closed at these streets:

• Main Street (Route 126)

• Naperville-Plainfield Road

• Center Street

• Eastern Avenue

• Lockport Street

The Route 126 off-ramp from southbound Interstate 55 was closed to reduce traffic in the area, police said on Facebook.

Investigators from the Plainfield Police Department and Canadian National responded to the scene. Police advised motorists to avoid these areas and seek alternative routes. They have not released further details about whether there were any injuries or when the roads will reopen.
