Oswego East senior Zach Johnson shot a 3-under par 68 for second place individually, and the Wolves as a team placed second at the Class 3A Plainfield Central Regional to advance to sectionals. Oswego advanced with a third-place finish and Plainfield North qualified for golfers.

Benet, which finished with the only score under par on the day at 284, received a pair of below par performances from Jack Quil, who finished 4-under at 68, and senior Caden Petersen (71). Sophomores Rory Neill (72) and Charlie Davis (73) closed out the top four for Benet.

Lincoln-Way East, Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West all qualified for next week's boys golf sectional as a team, while Lockport saw four individual golfers advance at the Class 3A Lincoln-Way Central Regional at Green Garden

Green Garden in Frankfort hosted the 3A L-W Central Regional boys golf competition on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
