Morris Hospital to offer Heartsaver CPR AED and first aid training in February

Morris Hospital offers CPR classes just a few times a year.

The next American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR AED & First Aid Training course will be held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the former Shabbona School, 725 School St. in Morris, according to a news release from Morris Hospital.

“Participants will learn the skills needed to perform high quality CPR, proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), relief of foreign-body airway obstruction, and basic first aid,” according to the release.

The course is open to anyone interested in learning skills that could save the life of a loved one, friend, co-worker, or community member,” according to the release.

The class costs $110. American Heart Association materials are included in the fee.
