Joliet Fire Department brings Santa to ‘visit’ hospital patients

Gifts were also provided for children who are in the hospital during Christmas

The Joliet Fire Department lifted Santa to different floors of AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet to wave to those who are in the hospital for the holidays.

On Sunday, members of the Joliet Fire Department helped Santa and one of his elves visited patients AMITA Health Saint Joseph Center in Joliet.

This is the 29th year members of the Joliet Fire Department have visited the hospital during the holiday season.

Since no one was allowed to actually go inside the hospital to see patients directly due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the fire department lifted Santa to different floors to wave to those who are in the hospital for the holidays.

Gifts were also provided to the hospital staff to distribute to children who are in the hospital for Christmas.
