Coroner IDs pedestrian killed in Romeoville crash

A Romeoville woman has died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday evening.

Kimberly J. Glista, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday in Romeoville, the Will County Coroner’s Office said.

At approximately 8:05 p.m., police responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Illinois Route 53 (Independence Boulevard) and Alexander Circle in Romeoville, the Romeoville Police Department said in a news release.

The crash involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian, resulting in a fatality, police said.

An autopsy was performed on Friday. Final cause and manner of death are pending autopsy, police and toxicological reports, the coroner’s office said.

The Romeoville Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
