A Bolingbrook man was killed and another person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Grady Drive, Bolingbrook police said.
Officers responded to a crash at about 6:50 p.m. and found an SUV and a sedan involved in a rollover collision, according to police.
The SUV driver, later identified as Robert Barrett, 80, of Bolingbrook, was found unresponsive at the scene, police said.
Barrett was pronounced dead at the scene at 9 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Office of Will County Coroner Laurie H. Summers.
A preliminary investigation revealed Barrett was traveling north on Grady Drive and attempted to cross Veterans Parkway when his SUV was struck by a westbound sedan, police said.
The sedan driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The Bolingbrook Police Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
An autopsy on Barrett was performed on Monday. Final cause and manner will be determined following autopsy, police and toxicological reports, the coroner’s office said.
