Competitive dance
Plainfield Central takes first at 3A Mahomet-Seymour Sectional: The Wildcats advanced to state and won the sectional championship in Class 3A with a score of 90.73. Plainfield North finished third and will also go to state along with fourth-place Joliet West and fifth-place Lockport.
Minooka, Plainfield South, Plainfield East, Joliet Central and Bolingbrook missed the cut.
Morris takes first in 1A at Mahometl: Morris scored 92.07 and will advance to state with second-place Providence and third-place Joliet Catholic.
Lincoln-Way East heads to state: The Griffins finished fourth at the 3A Park Ridge Sectional with an 88.73. In one of two 2A classes of the sectional, Lincoln-Way West finished fifth and will also advance to state.
Boys basketball
Lincoln-Way Central 42, T.F. South 32: The Knights picked up a big win to move to 6-4 in conference play.
Peotone 67, Westmont 53: Peotone picked up the win over its former conference rival on the road.
Neuqua Valley 74, Plainfield East 60: The Bengals suffered a road setback.
Joliet Catholic 58, Plainfield Central 39: The Hilltoppers were led by Jayden Armstrong, Jack Superits and JJ Sterrett, who each had 10 points.
Glenbard West 60, Joliet West 48: Zion Gross led the way for the Tigers with 15 points.
Girls basketball
Sandburg 70, Joliet West 57: The Tigers suffered a road setback.
Naperville Central 72, Romeoville 59: The Spartans dropped a home contest.
Providence 59, Joliet Central 45: The Celtics earned a critical non-conference win.
Reed-Custer 32, Beecher 27: Alyssa Wollenzien led the way with 14 points.
Boys wrestling
Coal City wins ICE Tournament: The Coalers finished first with 260.5 points. Reed-Custer finished second with 162.5 points. Peotone finished third, and Wilmington was sixth.
Lockport second at SWSC Tournament: The Porters finished with 252 points. Lincoln-Way East finished in third with 220, while Lincoln-Way West was fourth at 218.5. Lincoln-Way Central finished sixth with 135.
Providence sixth at CCL Championships: The Celtics scored 132 points as a team.
Lemont third in South Suburban Meet: Lemont finished with 104.5 points.
Girls wrestling
Lemont seventh at South Suburban Meet: Lemont scored 86 points as a team.
Morris third at Interstate 8 Tournament: Morris scored 100 points as a team.

Plainfield North wins Lockport Invite: The Tigers finished with 388 points. Lincoln-Way Central was fourth, Lockport was fifth, Lincoln-Way West was sixth, Joliet Township finished eighth, and Joliet Catholic was 14th.
Boys bowling
Lincoln-Way West wins Andrew Sectional: The Warriors punched their ticket to state with 6,327 pins. Jayden Kristie led the effort with 1,343.
Lincoln-Way Central is also heading to state after finishing third with 6,007. Lincoln-Way East will also head to state after finishing fourth with 6,005.
Minooka advances to state: The Indians finished second at the Alton Marquette Sectional with a 6,240. David Pratt had a 1,370 to lead the way.
Joliet West wins Naperville Central Sectional: The Tigers advanced to state with a score of 5,984. Tyler Bishop was the individual champ with a score of 1,327.
