Dixon Park District's SPARK (Sportsmanship, Participation, Appreciation, Respect, and Kindness) Camp is back for summer fun Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Campers got creative at Liberty Intermediate School on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, as Camp Invention celebrated its 16th year of science-based fun.

The Oregon Community Vacation Bible School is being hosted by Oregon United Methodist Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church this year.

Camp Invention, a nationally recognized, nonprofit summer enrichment program, is coming to Matthews Middle School in Island Lake the week of July 13 to July 17.

This western-themed event will feature line dancing, interactive games, a silent and live auction and a BBQ dinner.

Campers will learn techniques in painting, drawing, clay, and mixed media, and will keep any artwork they create.

The icy Dec. 13, 2025, event supports affordable summer camp programs at Lowell Park in Dixon.

Ottawa students participated in the Urban Safari Photo camp this summer in Ottawa. The week-long camp is part of the Ottawa Recreation summer program. Campers learned to be encouraged and look beyond everyday items to discover interesting textures and light patterns. Campers learned how to take photos, were assigned a project and edit the final images.
