Fit & Strong is a free program designed as an exercise/behavior change program for older adults with lower extremity osteoarthritis.

Tickets are $40 each; only 250 tickets will be sold. There is one $1,000 grand prize, one winner of $300, one winner of $100 and 12 winners of $50.

Seniors within Kendall County call the Yorkville Senior Services office often, requesting help with household tasks. They are grateful to have someone volunteer their time to help them with yard work tasks, such as shoveling snow, raking leaves and other home chores.

Current programming includes numerous exercise classes; activities such as bingo, dime jingle, bridge; financial and history education; health screenings; group support sessions; and more.

FVCS will be using this grant to remodel the public bathrooms at the Senior Center.

Cindy Worsley received a special recognition from the Kendall County Board in appreciation for 40 years of service to senior citizens as the executive director of Fox Valley Community Services.
