The Lockport Township Senior Expo is dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents by providing access to information about services and products that promote health, safety, and overall well-being.

Lisa Parham, activities director at Joshua Arms in Joliet, said she’s wanted to “put something like this together for my residents” for the last five years.

Senior Services of Will County’s current plan is to provide programming to seniors at small locations throughout Will County.

Rapid Healthcare, located at 167 N. Chicago St. in Joliet treats urgent injury and illnesses, manages chronic conditions, provides for routine and preventive health care and accepts most medical insurance.

Six years after it was announced, a new wing devoted to transitional care for residents opened this week at the DeKalb County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Officials said they believe the new wing will help grow census numbers, a needed step to improving overall finances.
