Ribfest fans, vendors lament the bittersweet end of a summer tradition

Ribfest faces a hazy future after a two-year stint in Wheaton coming out of the pandemic.

Ribfest will be held in Wheaton Sept. 15-17 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

Ribfest will return to the DuPage County Fairgrounds -- in September.

People enjoy the Rockin’ Rib Fest Friday, July 7, 2023, at Sunset Park in Lake in the Hills. Rockin’ Rib Fest is a four-day festival that features live entertainment, a carnival, and a variety of award-winning barbecue and rib vendors.

Opening day at Ribfest in Wheaton. After 32 years in Naperville, Ribfest has moved to the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton. The event runs through Monday, June 20, 2022.
