The Illinois Department of Public Health could soon be suspending St. Mary's Hospital's Level II emergency designation due to the loss of its OB doctor.

The Sterling Fire Department, Rock Falls Fire Department, Sterling Police Department and CGH EMS were dispatched at 1 p.m. Friday to the Sterling Steel property, 101 Ave. K, for a report of a man under a railcar.

Bond was reduced Monday for a 46-year-old Dixon man who the Ogle County sheriff said attacked three of his deputies, breaking some bones, and who had to be subdued with a taser device.

A man has been hospitalized after he suffered injuries from a fall at an abandoned steel mill building in Joliet, police said.
