The Bradley Elementary School Board OK'd a bid Thursday for a company to finish replacing the light fixtures in the district with brighter, more energy-efficient LED bulbs.

Ryan Barrie was sworn in to serve his first term on the Bradley Elementary District 61 School Board.

Bradley Elementary schools have seen some attendance improvements after ramping up efforts to combat chronic absenteeism this school year.

Students and teachers began using the new 17,160-square-foot addition to Bradley East Elementary School on Jan. 27.

Schools are closed today throughout Kankakee County due to extreme low temperatures in the forecast, but it might warm up enough for some after-school activities scheduled later in the day

Taxpayers in the Bradley Elementary School District can expect an increase on their bills, with the district seeking to collect about $12.9 million for its 2024 tax levy

In Bradley and Bourbonnais, there has been some celebrating of positive feedback from the state’s annual designations as well as digging into chronic absenteeism and other areas in need of improvement

About 70 people attended the annual event, including teachers, parents, local officials and representatives from organizations that work with Bradley schools
