At the IHSA Class 2A Pontiac Sectional on Wednesday night, Morris won a pair of events and qualified five athletes for state, while Ottawa, Manteno, Joliet Catholic, Coal City and Streator also sent qualifiers on to Charleston.

The Dixon boys track and field team used its depth to win a sectional title for the first time since 2002. Rock Falls and Sterling also had state qualifiers at Rochelle.
