The current McHenry Township assessor was leading in the Democratic primary race for McHenry County clerk, the winner of which will face incumbent Joe Tirio in the general election in November, early unofficial results showed.

Republican candidates up and down the ticket will attend a forum hosted by the McHenry County Township Republicans this Saturday.

McHenry Regional Superintendent of Schools candidate Diana Hartmann wrote on county and state audits, "I am partnering with the McHenry County finance department to organize budgets and bring transactions into compliance for auditing." Read the full questionnaire here.
