1 “Oliver! Jr.” is a Children’s Theater production of the Lionel Bart’s classic musical, adapted for child actors. It will have two performances at Dixon Historic Theatre, 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It’s the story of a workhouse orphan in Victorian England, who escapes to London and falls in with a group of pickpockets led by Fagin and the sinister Bill Sikes. An ensemble cast of the Children’s Theater has been working since September on the production, which includes favorite numbers “Consider Yourself,” “Food, Glorious Food,” and “Oom-Pah-Pah.” Tickets are $5 to $10.

2 The Rock City Blues Band presents “Live Blues Funk and Soul!” along with some favorite Christmas Blues starting at 8 p.m. Saturday at Starlight Theatre and Lounge, 314 First Ave., Sterling.

3 The Holiday Light Display at Centennial Park, 508 E. 11th St., Rock Falls. The driving holiday light experience is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 26.
