Girls bowling teams from Ottawa, Streator Dixon, L-P, Mendota Hall and St. Bede girls all competed in the L-P Cavalier Classic on Saturday Dec. 20, 2025 at the Illinois Valley Super Bowl in Peru.

Sterling meets Rochelle in the girls basketball 3A regional semifinal Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 hosted by Sterling High School. Sterling won 68-35 and will play Plano on Thursday.

Dixon, Sterling, Oregon and Erie-Prophetstown competed Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, in the girls bowling regional at Plum Hollow in Dixon. Sterling took second to advance to the sectional as a team along with Oregon's Carli Bailey.

Sterling's Sarah Doughty looks to be the top local bowler at this Friday's Dixon Regional, where Dixon, Erie-Prophetstown and Oregon are also competing. Doughty and the Golden Warriors were Dixon Invitational champions the last time they competed at Plum Hollow this season.
