Upcoming blood drives in the Sauk Valley

The Red Cross has an emergency need for blood.

Those who donate through June 13 will receive a Red Cross T-shirt while supplies last.

Upcoming blood drives:

Prophetstown: 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday, Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico School District office, 79 Grove St. Call Tara, 815-535-4463, to make an appointment.

Franklin Grove: 1-6 p.m. June 8, Atlasta Park Building on South State Street.

Lanark: Noon-6 p.m. June 11, United Methodist Church, 405 E. Locust St. Call Yvonne, 815-493-2957.

A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be 17, or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in generally good health.

Donors can save time by using RapidPass to complete their health history questionnaire online the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive.
