Morrison Junior High School students took part in middle school chess tournaments at St. Mary’s Winter Chess Classic in Metamora and the MLK Chess Tournament in Normal on Saturday, Jan. 17, and Monday, Jan. 19, respectively.

In Metamora, Cindy Pelka finished in third place among 32 players in Seventh Grade Section (3.5 points out of four rounds). In Normal, she ended in the middle of 17 junior high school players with 2.5 points in four rounds.
