The Friends of the Hennepin Canal will hold its next “Hike the Hennepin” event at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Bridge 50, 25060 Route 172, Rock Falls.
There is no fee to join the hike. Participants are expected to dress appropriately for the weather.
Hikers will meet at Bridge 50 and be shuttled out to Bridge 52. The portion is 4.1 miles long and named Cottonwood. Attendees do not need to be Friends of the Hennepin Canal members.
