Local health departments, some pharmacies to begin taking appointments Monday for residents who qualify for Phase 1B

Nationally, anticipated doses reduced from about 16 million to 8 million

States and major cities across the country will now receive only about half of the COVID-19 vaccine doses that were originally expected to come from the federal government next week, Gov. JB Pritzker said in a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
