ROCHELLE — A Compton woman is dead after a collision shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday with a semi-truck on state Route 251 just south of Rochelle.

Nancy D. Mlynski, 64, died at the scene, State Police said in a news release this morning.

The semi driver, Mark A. Geesey, 57, of Dixon, was not injured, the release said.

The crash happened at 5:53 p.m. about a quarter-mile north of East Gurler Road in Ogle County.

Geesey was pulling north onto Route 251 from a private drive and was struck by a southbound minivan driven by Mlynski, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, the release said.
