Bethany Lutheran Church men’s group hosts luncheon for veterans

The men’s club at Crystal Lake-based Bethany Lutheran Church hosted a cookout luncheon this month at New Horizons in Hebron.

New Horizons is a transitional living program for up to 20 homeless veterans, according to the nonprofit Veterans Path to Hope.

The luncheon provided “good food, good fellowship and an appreciation of their service to our country,” organizer Dave Sweet said.
