The National Alliance on Mental Illness of McHenry County is raising money – to be matched by a $12,500 grant – through Sunday.
NAMI McHenry County provides support, education and advocacy services to improve the quality of life for those living with mental illness, according to a news release.
Among the services offered are support groups and one-to-one recovery and family support for individuals and families dealing with mental illness, according to NAMI’s website.
The group also provides a range of educational opportunities for those suffering from mental illness, their friends and families, and the overall community.
“As our services are provided at no cost, contributions from the community are vital,” Executive Director Alex Campbell said in a statement.
Donations can be made through the nonprofit’s website, www.NAMIMcHenryCounty.org.
