Richmond-Burton sophomore outside hitter Dani Hopp had a team-high nine kills to lead the Rockets past Woodstock North 25-15, 25-20 in their Kishwaukee River Conference match Monday night. R-B has won every set so far this season.



Richmond-Burton senior Elissa Furlan has helped lead the Rockets to an undefeated season so far, including winning all five matches Sept. 7 at the Grayslake Central Ram Slam Tournament. Furlan is the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week.


Senior Georgia Watson, a 6-foot-3 outside hitter and Kentucky commit, recorded 16 kills as Huntley defeated Hampshire 28-26, 25-13 on Tuesday to move into a four-way tie for first place in the Fox Valley Conference.


Hampshire junior outside hitter Elizabeth King had a big opening week for the Whip-Purs, recording 15 kills and 11 aces in two victories for the Whip-Purs. King was voted the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week.
