Ava Miedema set a school record in the 100-meter hurdles and Alexzandria Richardson won the 200, leading St. Charles North to the title of its invitational on Saturday. Huntley was second at the meet.

Here are the athletes who earned status on the 2024 All-Fox Valley Conference Girls Track and Field team.

Huntley's Dominique Johnson won the Class 3A triple jump state title and ran on the Red Raiders' winning 4x200-meter relay, along with taking third in long jump, to earn the honor of 2024 Northwest Herald Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

Huntley almost came home with another team championship at the IHSA Girls Track and Field State Meet from Eastern Illinois University's O'Brien Stadium. The Red Raiders won three titles and finished as team runner-up.

Huntley will try to make it back-to-back Class 3A team titles at the IHSA Girls Track and Field State Meet Friday and Saturday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Prairie Ridge's Katie Jewell ran the fastest 100 meters in Fox Valley Conference Girls Track and Field Meet history on May 2 and qualified for state in four events at Wednesday's Class 2A Carmel Sectional. The Wolves junior was voted the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week.

Huntley's Sophie Amin tore it up on the same track where she suffered a horrific injury a year ago, and the Red Raiders won the Class 3A Huntley Girls Track and Field Sectional for a third consecutive year.
