The future of IHSA co-op teams may be uncertain, but Prairie Ridge's girls gymnastics team isn't letting that bother it. Led by Nora Terhaar, who won two events, Prairie Ridge won the Conant Sectional with a score of 144.5750 on Monday night in Hoffman Estates.

Led by all-around champion Genevieve Herion, who won beam and was second on vault, Downers Grove co-op wrapped up its second state gymnastics title in three years on Saturday. Uneven bars champ Nora Terhaar’s winning mark helped Prairie Ridge edge Lincoln-Way co-op for second.

Downers Grove co-op's Genevieve Herion added to her long list of accomplishments while putting the Trostangs in wonderful position to win a state championship. The senior won the all-around Friday, and her team scored a school-record 148.45 points at the state meet.

Prairie Ridge co-op gymnast Thea Scheuer qualified for state in two events Thursday night in the Mundelein Sectional, one year after taking a break from the sport.

Athletes from the Prairie Ridge Co-op gymnastics team finished second on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, in the IHSA Mundelein Gymnastics Sectional at Mundelein High School.

Prairie Ridge co-op's Maria Kakish came to state on an at-large berth in the vault and took third place. Teammate Gabby Riley hit a big dismount on her balance beam, but was not rewarded and finished without a medal.
