McHenry sophomore Robbie Rosenbaum qualified for the championship finals in both of his events at the IHSA Boys Swimming State Championships, while Marian Central senior Antonio Aguirre also advanced to Day 2 in two events.

Cary-Grove co-op's boys swimming team took back the title at the FVC Invite on Saturday. C-G co-op's Charlie Edwards and McHenry's Robbie Rosenbaum earned co-Most Valuable Swimmer, and Huntley's Brayden Dudycha was named Newcomer of the Year.

Cary-Grove co-op senior Connor Chan was one of three athletes named Most Valuable Swimmer at the Fox Valley Conference Invite on Feb. 10. For his performance, Chan was selected as the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week in an online vote.
