Cary-Grove co-op swimmer Drew Watson earned three medals at the IHSA Boys Swimming and Diving State Meet on Saturday. Watson won two individual medals, while Noah Brereton and Kasparas Venslauskas each took one.

Cary-Grove co-op will send nine entries to the IHSA Boys Swimming and Diving State Championships this weekend at the FMC Natatorium in Westmont. Crystal Lake South senior Drew Watson will compete in a team-best four events.

Cary-Grove co-op senior Connor Chan was one of three athletes named Most Valuable Swimmer at the Fox Valley Conference Invite on Feb. 10. For his performance, Chan was selected as the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week in an online vote.

The Cary-Grove co-op team qualified nine entries from the Stevenson Boys Swimming and Diving Sectional Meet to next week's state meet.

Cary-Grove co-op's junior varsity and varsity teams combined to win all 22 events Saturday to claim the Fox Valley Conference Boys Swimming Invite championship. It's the Trojans' 16th conference title in 17 years.
