Harvard senior midfielder Jesus Aquino, who recorded 21 goals and 15 assists while leading the Hornets to KRC Tournament and regional championships, is the 2025 Northwest Herald Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

Hugo Arista recorded a hat trick and Mauricio Ruiz converted a penalty kick in the second half as Dundee-Crown defeated St. Charles East 4-2 to win a Class 3A boys soccer regional championship on Saturday afternoon.

St. Charles North scored twice in the final 15 minutes to force overtime, and the North Stars went ahead for good on a Jacob Piper goal to beat Huntley 4-2 and win the Class 3A Huntley Regional championship.
