Hampshire's Nolan Adamczyk tied for eighth to lead a trio of Fox Valley Conference golfers Saturday at the IHSA Class 3A Boys Golf State Tournament. Huntley native Liam Lodding took fourth in 1A, plus more results on the final day of the high school golf season.

The IHSA boys and girls golf state tournaments tee off Friday morning, with a handful of McHenry County area golfers competing at courses in Bloomington, Normal and Decatur.

Prairie Ridge took third as a team, while Crystal Lake Central qualified two individuals – Asher Johnson and Tommy Laird – for state during Monday's IHSA Class 2A Rockford Boylan Sectional at the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Club in Rockford.

Burlington Central senior Tyler Samaan shot a 6-under-par 66 to earn medalist honors and lead the Rockets to the championship of the Class 3A Huntley Boys Golf Regional on Wednesday at Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley.

Crystal Lake Central's boys golf team won its second straight regional title, while Ian Metzger earned medalist honors to lead Rochelle to its first sectional since 2009. Prairie Ridge placed runner-up in the nine-team regional to also advance.

Tyler Samaan birdied the final hole to win his second straight Fox Valley Conference Tournament individual title, helping lead Burlington Central to its second conference championship in a row. McHenry shot the low score of the tournament with a 307.

Lightning shortened Saturday's Dundee-Crown Charger Invite, which was won individually by Prairie Ridge's Jake Dahlem. The Wolves tied with Lake Park for the team title.

After suffering from acute myocarditis over two years ago, Harvest-Westminster senior golfer and Huntley native Liam Lodding has made positive change on and off the course through fundraising and charity work.

Burlington Central senior Tyler Samaan played his final six holes 4-under par to finish with a 66 and the title of the Pirate Invitational at Deer Park Country Club in Oglesby on Monday. The Rockets placed second as a team, while host Ottawa finished third.
