McHenry County school closings, delays for Monday due to weather

McHenry County was placed under a blizzard warning late Sunday, and the National Weather Service urged people to only travel if it is an emergency.

Many school districts have opted to cancel classes or go to an e-learning day Monday. Here’s a list of known cancellations:

Crystal Lake District 47: Schools will be closed Monday and all after-school activities are canceled.
McHenry County College: Campus closed Monday.
McHenry District 15: All schools closed Monday and before- and after-school activities canceled.
Woodstock District 200: Classes are canceled Monday.
Alden-Hebron District 19: No school Monday.
Crystal Lake-based District 155: Monday is an e-learning day, adding a decision about after-school activities would be communicated by noon Monday.
Algonquin-based District 300: Delayed two hours.
Marengo-Union Elementary District 165: Monday will be an e-learning day because of the blizzard warning.
Harvard District 50: School buildings closed Monday, no classes or activities.
Johnsburg District 12: All schools and offices closed Monday.
Fox River Grove District 3: All before- and after-school activities are canceled Monday. A late start Monday was already planned.
Huntley District 158: Schools and district office closed and athletics, activities and facility rentals are canceled.
Cary School District 26: Schools closed Monday; all after-school activities are canceled.
McHenry District 156: Monday is an e-learning day.
Nippersink District 2: Schools are closed Monday.
Richmond-Burton District 157: Schools are closed Monday.
Marengo District 154: Monday is e-learning day but after-school activities and practices were still expected to happen.
Wonder Lake-based Harrison District 36: No school Monday.
Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock: Closed Monday.
St. John’s Catholic Academy in Johnsburg: School canceled Monday.
Montini Catholic School in McHenry: No school Monday.
St. Mary Catholic School in Woodstock: No school Monday.
Trinity Oaks Christian Academy in Cary: No school or evening activities Monday.
Allendale LINC Therapeutic Day School: No school Monday.
