Johnsburg 90, Woodstock North 41: At Johnsburg, the Skyhawks knocked in 15 3-pointers to earn a big Kishwaukee River Conference win at home. JT Schmitt scored 20 points for Johnsburg (13-13, 3-6) while Jarrel Albea added 14 points, Jayce Schmitt had 13 while Josh Kaunas chipped in 10.
AJ Bigler led the Thunder (3-17, 3-6) with 10 points and Colin Brodzik added nine.
Marian Central 71, Westminster Christian 35: At Woodstock, Adam Wrzos led the scoring with 16 to give the Hurricanes a nonconference win at home. Finn Pivnicka added 11 and Derek Leitzen and Logan Brandt each scored 10 apiece for Marian (12-18).
Plano 75, Marengo 44: At Plano, Sam Vandello knocked in 15 points in a KRC loss for Marengo (4-23, 2-9). Derek Bibbings added six points while Jett Lesiak and Sam Chaffin each had added five points.
Girls basketball
Huntley 64, Crystal Lake South 26: At Crystal Lake, four Huntley players scored in double-figures to keep their team undefeated on the season. Aubrina Adamik led the scoring with 15 points, Paula Strzelecki finished with 14, Anna Campanelli had 13 and Alyssa Borzych finished with 10 for the Red Raiders (27-0, 14-0 Fox Valley Conference).
Gaby Dzik led the Gators (13-13, 7-7) with 14 points.
Cary-Grove 46, Crystal Lake Central 31: At Cary, three Trojans scored in double-figures to help their team keep pace in the FVC race. Sam Skerl led the scoring with 13 points, Ellie Mjaanes added 12 while Malaina Kurth finished with 10 for C-G (19-7, 13-2).
Hampshire 39, Jacobs 37: At Hampshire, the Whip-Purs (13-13, 9-5) held on to pick up the FVC win over the Golden Eagles (8-18, 4-10).
Dundee-Crown 37, McHenry 32: At McHenry, Josie Sheldon scored 10 points to help the Chargers snap a 12-game losing streak and pick up an FVC win. Olivia Rodriguez and Charlotte Stewart each added eight points for D-C (3-24, 2-12).
Maritza Martinez knocked in 13 points for the Warriors (3-23, 0-14) while Brooklyn Anderson added nine.
Burlington Central 60, Prairie Ridge 38: At Crystal Lake, Julia Scheuer had 20 points to help the Rockets win their second straight game in FVC action. Ashley Waslo added 10 points for Central (9-18, 7-8) while Audrey LaFleur had eight.
Zoe Nanos led the Wolves (10-14, 6-8) with 10 points and Winter Gallivan added eight.
Marian Central 63, Westminster Christian 10: At Woodstock, the Hurricanes picked up a commanding win. Juliette Huff, Adriana Wrzos and Kaitlyn Remke each scored 13 points for Marian (13-15).
Boys swimming
Woodstock North co-op 89, Harlem 70: At Machesney Park, Landon Beltran won two individual events and a relay to lead the Thunder to a win. He took the 50-yard freestyle in 25.83 seconds while also winning the 100 backstroke in 1:08.78.
Niko Myshkowec took the 200 individual medley in 2:49.41 and Geo Kopulos won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.95. The 200 free relay team of Myshkowec, Landon Nikolich, Kopulos and Beltran won at 1:49.33.
