McHenry County’s first baby of 2025 is a New Year’s Day arrival

McHenry County welcomed the first baby born in the county for 2025 at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday.

Camila Albarran was born at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital to parents Susana Flores Cruz and Esteban Albarran of Woodstock, a hospital spokeswoman said

Camila weights in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was 17.5 inches long.

At Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital outside Barrington, the first baby of the year was a boy named Everest, born at 8:01 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Advocate announced.
