Storms, heavy rain possible in Will, Kankakee, Grundy

Localized flooding possible from heavy downpours

Isolated thunderstorms remain possible, for the most part, along and south of Interstate 80 and along and east of I-55 through 4 p.m. Monday Aug. 11, 2025. Main impacts are lightning and brief heavy downpours, the National Weather Service reports.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms could bring heavy downpours Monday evening capable of causing localized flooding across Will, Kankakee and Grundy counties.

The greatest chance for these storms exists along and south of Interstate 80 and along and east of I-55, the National Weather Service said on Twitter.

The chance for isolated flooding and storms will continue Tuesday, with a excessive heat risk for Saturday and another limited thunderstorm risk on Sunday.
